OK- it might be termed the most depressing day of the year, and we’re currently in lockdown 3.0, with all signs this one is going to be a long one, but there’s no reason to let that get you down. We’ve compiled a list of reasons to be cheerful this January.
Each day, the light lingers a little longer as summer inches closer. If you find this really helps you, why not take note of the sunrise and sunset times, you’ll be surprised on how much it changes on a weekly basis and those rays of sunlight will soon turn into beams of positivity.
We’ve got time to appreciate mind, body and soul
With all distractions out of the way, lockdown can be a time to really focus on you; understanding what makes you tick. Use this time to find out what makes you happy, gets you excited and keeps you motivated.
No commuting
One of the benefits of working from home, is that it’s totally OK to be in bed 5 minutes before you need to be at your desk.
Well, in reality this may be great for a week or two, but why not take advantage of the time, which used to be devoted to commuting. By devoting the time to another hobby, or simply taking note of the time, it will soon make you appreciate how much of your life was spent travelling to and from work on a daily basis. And of course, the odd day signing in from your bed never hurt anyone.
Another sure sign that the seasons are starting to change, we’re starting to see shoots of green emerging from the undergrowth. Life is coming back to our gardens, and we’ll soon be out there to enjoy their blooms.
If you want to make a headstart on planting from your home, why not sow some chilli and pepper seeds? They need a long growing season, so starting them off now, in a warm environment will ensure a fruitful harvest throughout the summer.
New season= new candles.
With our homes being multi-purpose, it is more important than ever we start to give rooms new personalities. What better way to do that than through scent?
We’ve got quite a few surprises coming out over the next few months, which we’re hoping will bring a smile to your face.
All our love
Team Flora x
